10.40.080: RIDING ON SIDEWALKS AND CROSSWALKS:
   A.   When riding a bicycle, e-bike, or alternative electric motored vehicle riding on the sidewalk or crosswalk, the operator shall yield the right of way to any pedestrian and shall give audible signal before overtaking and passing such pedestrian.
   B.   A bicycle, e-bike, or alternative electric motored vehicle riding upon the sidewalk, or across a roadway upon or within a crosswalk, shall have all the rights and duties applicable to a pedestrian under the same circumstances.
   C.   A bicycle, e-bike, or alternative electric motored vehicle riding on the sidewalk shall not suddenly leave a curb or other place of safety and move into the path of a vehicle that is so close as to constitute an immediate hazard. (Ord. 1307, 2022; Ord. 1123, 2013)
