A. The owner of a female dog shall cause such dog, when in season, to be penned or enclosed in such manner as to preclude other dogs from attacking such female dog.
B. It is unlawful for the owner or person having possession, charge, custody or control of any female dog to cause, permit or allow the same to stray or run, or in any other manner be at large in or upon any street or sidewalk while such dog is in copulating season. If a female dog cannot be controlled by the owner during the copulating season, the female dog may be impounded by the animal control officer or any police officer. (Ord. 516 § 7, 1988)
