5-1-15: OFFENSES AGAINST PUBLIC AUTHORITY:
   A.   Refusal To Assist Police Officers: It shall be unlawful for any person over the age of eighteen (18) years to refuse or neglect to render assistance to any police officer when called upon for such assistance or aid in the suppression of riot or other unlawful assemblage, or in the arrest of any person who has committed an offense. (1996 Code § 8-1-32; amd. 2010 Code)
   B.   False Representation: It shall be unlawful for any person to represent falsely himself to be an officer of the city or to attempt to impersonate any such officer or to, without authority, perform any official act therein on behalf of an officer. (1996 Code § 8-1-16)
   C.   Resisting An Officer: It shall be unlawful for any person to interfere wilfully with, resist, delay, obstruct, molest or threaten to molest any officer of the law in the exercise of his official duties. (1996 Code § 8-1-37)
   D.   Escapes:
      1.   Prohibited: It shall be unlawful for any person convicted of any offense or in lawful custody to escape or attempt to escape from custody. (1996 Code § 8-1-13)
      2.   Aid: It shall be unlawful for any person to aid or assist any person to escape from lawful confinement or to assist any person to escape from the custody of any peace officer. (1996 Code § 8-1-12)
   E.   Removal Of City Barricades, Signs And Notices:
      1.   Removal Of Barricades: It shall be unlawful for any person to remove or change the placement of any safety or traffic barricade placed on any sidewalk, alley, street or on any public property or placed lawfully on private property by a city employee or its agents.
      2.   Removal Of Signs Or Notices: It shall be unlawful for any person to remove, alter or change any sign or notice posted by the city or its agents which has been placed lawfully on any public or private property.
      3.   Violation A Misdemeanor: Any person violating provisions of this subsection shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor. (Ord. 1008, 3-22-2000)
