The Guthrie Parks and Urban Forestry Board is hereby established, composed of seven appointed members who are city residents, with appointments made by the Mayor and approved by the City Council. Members serve two-year staggered terms. Terms shall expire at the first regular City Council meeting in June. The City Manager, or a designated representative, acts as an ex officio, non-voting member. Members shall serve without compensation and are required to take an oath of office. Vacancies on the Board shall be filled for the balance of the unexpired term in the same manner as provided in this section.
