Any owner or person otherwise in possession or control who violates any provision of this article by doing any act prohibited or declared to be unlawful thereby, or declared to be a nuisance, an offense or misdemeanor thereby, or who fails to do any act required by any provision, or who fails to do any act when the provision declares the failure to be unlawful or to be an offense or misdemeanor, or who violates any legal order or regulation made pursuant to this article, is guilty of an offense, and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not more than $500 per violation. Each day upon which a violation continues shall be deemed a separate offense.
