§ 34.20 IN GENERAL.
   (A)   The town recognizes and respects the division of powers between the legislative branch and the judicial branch. It enforces the concept that a judge must remain independent and free to exercise his or her responsibilities pursuant to Administrative Order 2017-19, and the most recent Arizona Code of Judicial Conduct and Arizona Code for Judicial Administration (ACJA). For this reason, the Town Council enacts this subchapter to provide appropriate enforcement of the above mentioned standards.
(1989 Code, § 5-6-1)
   (B)   The discipline mechanism set forth in this subchapter shall be exercised with restraint and caution and only in the event that a judicial officer of this town is accused of violation of said standards. Discipline shall be applied only upon notice, due process, and a showing of violation of the standards governing the conduct of municipal judges and the statutes and ordinances governing this town.
