ADOPTING ORDINANCE
ORDINANCE NO. O2020.22
   AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF GUADALUPE, ARIZONA, ADOPTING THE TOWN OF GUADALUPE CODE OF ORDINANCES IN ITS ENTIRETY; AND, ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JULY 1, 2020.
   WHEREAS, the Town of Guadalupe values the importance of transparency in governance; and,
   WHEREAS, the Town wishes to formally codify all of its ordinances and resolutions that impact the Town Code since the Town was incorporated in 1975; and,
   WHEREAS, the Town wishes to repeal and replace its existing Town Code of Ordinances with the newly codified Guadalupe Town Code of Ordinances;
   WHEREAS, that certain document known as the Guadalupe Town Code of Ordinances, three (3) copies of which are on file in the Town Clerk's office and posted on the Town of Guadalupe municipal website, was declared to be a Public Record by the Guadalupe Town Council on May 28, 2020, is hereby incorporated herein as if set forth in full; and,
   WHEREAS, the Town wishes to establish an effective date of the newly adopted Guadalupe Town Code of Ordinances as July 1, 2020.
   NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF GUADALUPE, ARIZONA as follows:
Section 1.   The Town Council wishes to formally adopt the Guadalupe Town Code of Ordinances in its entirety.
Section 2.   The effective date of the newly adopted Guadalupe Town Code of Ordinances shall be July 1, 2020.
Section 3.   If any part or portion of the Guadalupe Town Code of Ordinances or this ordinance is found to be invalid or unconstitutional in any way by any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions thereof.
   PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Guadalupe, Arizona, this 28th day of May, 2020.
