The Marshal shall be the Chief of Police and shall perform such duties as may be required by law and as the Council may deem necessary. For police protection and public safety services, the town is authorized to contract with other law enforcement agencies and when this is done by the town, the person assigned by the contracting agency to interact with the town shall be deemed the Town Marshal.
