(A) Any police officer that finds a child violating any provisions of § 132.30 shall obtain information from such child as to his or her name, address, age and the name of his or her parent or parents, or person having legal custody. The child shall thereupon either be transported to the residence if within the jurisdiction of the borough police and released to an adult or brought to the police station until he or she can be released to a parent or guardian or other person having legal custody.
(B) The above information obtained on the child shall be forwarded to the Chief of Police or his or her designee, who shall cause a written notice to be mailed to the parent or parents, or person having legal custody of the child at his or her last known address, advising of the violation of § 132.30.
