§ 132.30 CURFEW ESTABLISHED FOR CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 18.
   It shall be unlawful for any child under the age of 18 years (such persons being referred to hereafter as “child”) to be or remain in or upon, as a pedestrian or in a vehicle, any of the streets, alleys and sidewalks, except those sidewalks in front of the child’s home, parks or public places in the borough, between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and similarly prohibited from 12:00 midnight until 5:00 a.m. for the period Friday and Saturday, unless such child is accompanied by a parent, guardian or other person having the legal custody of such child. This subchapter shall not apply to any child who is returning directly home from employment, or who is engaged in activity with a volunteer fire company and possesses an affidavit or certificate of authorization signed by the child’s Fire Chief or supervisor, or a child who has written verification from parents for attendance at a recognized school or church event and is directly homeward bound from the said event within 30 minutes of the conclusion of said event, on an errand at the direction of the minor’s parent or guardian without any detour or stop, in a motor vehicle involved in interstate travel, or any child who is involved in an emergency incident which requires the presence of the said child at said location.
