§ 54.037 CARE, PROTECTION, TEST AND REPAIR OF METERS.
   Every consumer shall properly protect the meter on the property owned or occupied by him or her from frost and injury, and in case of failure so to do, the Water Department shall make any necessary repairs at the consumer’s cost and expense, and the consumer shall pay the cost thereof promptly upon presentation of the bill of the borough therefor. No plumber or other person except an authorized agent of the borough shall at any time be allowed to repair or replace a meter. Any agent or employee of the Water Department shall have authority to disconnect or remove any meter for the purpose of testing the accuracy thereof, and in case it is necessary to repair any meter following any such test, the cost of repair may be charged to the consumer.
