If the Board of Zoning Appeals grants a request or appeal for a variance, the applicant, any aggrieved person or any elected official of the City may appeal such decision of the Board to Council. Such appeal shall be taken within twenty-one days from the date of the meeting of the Board at which such decision granting the variance is announced by filing a written notice of appeal with the Clerk of Council. If an appeal is filed, the Clerk of Council shall cause written notice to be sent to the applicant within five (5) working days of the written appeal being received. A resolution to affirm, reverse or otherwise modify the decision of the Board shall be placed on the agenda of the next regular meeting of Council to be heard and determined by Council pursuant to the rules and procedures of Council. The decision of Council shall be final.
