Whoever violates any provision of this chapter or order of the Director of Public Service pursuant to this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or imprisoned not more than thirty days, or both. Each day or portion thereof during which such a violation occurs shall be considered a separate offense.
