A central inventory of all equipment, supplies, materials and property belonging to the City shall be maintained by each department of the City. Such perpetual inventory records shall be undertaken and maintained by the director of each department in such manner and in such standardized method as the director of each department requires, subject to the approval of the City Administrator. Duplicates of all inventory records shall be filed with the City Administrator by the several directors.
