151.04   SUSPENSION OF MEMBERS.
   The Chief of Police shall have the exclusive right to suspend any member of the Division of Police for any of the causes set forth in the Ohio Revised Code or successor or similar statutes. If a member is suspended, the Chief shall forthwith in writing certify the fact together with the cause for the suspension to the Director of Public Safety, who, within five days from the receipt thereof shall proceed to inquire into the cause of such suspension, and render judgment thereon. Such judgment, if the charge is sustained, may be suspension, reduction in rank or dismissal from the Division. Such judgment shall be final. The Director, in such investigation, shall have the same power to administer oaths and secure the attendance of witnesses and the production of books and papers as are conferred upon the Mayor. The officer so suspended by the Chief shall be entitled to be represented by an attorney at law at any hearing before the Director.
