133.02   APPOINTMENT AND DISMISSAL.
   (a)   Pursuant to Charter 3.06, an Administrative Assistant shall be appointed by the Mayor without a fixed term of office. He may be removed from office by written or public notice of the Mayor without right of appeal to any other body or person. However, insofar as possible, he shall be given a written statement by the Mayor of the reasons alleged for his removal and shall continue in office for at least sixty days with the privilege of filing written rebuttal to such statement of reasons for dismissal prior to the vacation of his office.
   (b)   Nothing in this section shall be construed to abridge the power and authority of the Mayor in discharging the Administrative Assistant, and he may dismiss the Administrative Assistant summarily if he so desires.
