The city does hereby adopt by reference the Boat Registration and Safety Act, being 625 ILCS 45/1-1 et seq., with the following exceptions or amendments.
(A) Enforcement may be made by those persons designated in the act and in addition thereto, by police officers of the city, and where the phrase “officer or employee of the Department” is used within the act it shall be deemed to include police officers of the city and/or any city employee designated by the Police Chief or City Manager.
(B) Where the word “Department” is used, it shall include, where applicable, in addition to the definition stated in the act, officials of the Police Department of the city and its officers.
