(A) Purpose and findings. This section establishes regulations for permanent storage areas that are in “IL” (Industrial Light) and “IH” (Industrial Heavy) Zoning Districts. Storage incidental to construction activities is permitted in all zoning districts.
(B) Applicability. This section applies to commercial outdoor storage (with the exception of salvage operations and yards as defined and regulated by this chapter), including contractors’ yards, building supply sales, coal sales and storage, scrap metal storage and paper and rag storage.
(C) Standards. Storage yards shall be enclosed by a:
(1) Non-climbable fence or wall at least six feet in height; or
(2) Type D landscaped buffer strip, as described in § 153.1122 of this chapter.
