252.14   OVERTIME.
   Unless otherwise specifically exempted from the application and receipt of overtime compensation, all employees not covered by wage agreements shall be compensated at the rate of time and one-half the employee's base rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of forty hours in one week. Holidays, sick leave, vacation, injury leave and similar authorized absences with pay shall count as hours worked for purposes of this section. Employees may choose to receive payment for overtime compensation by compensatory time off at the rate of one and one-half times the employee's base rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours in one week, if requested within the same pay period. Compensatory time off must be used at a time mutually agreeable to the employee and the City, in one day or one hour increments, and shall not be allowed to accumulate beyond 40 hours. Compensatory time must be applied for at least 24 hours in advance.
