It shall be the duty of each and every officer and employee of the City, and of each and every officer and employee of any board, commission or department of the City, who, as such officer or employee, receives money in any amount for and on behalf of the City, to promptly deposit the same with the City Treasurer. Unless otherwise plainly authorized by law, such officers and employees shall deposit all such money received on a daily basis and within the same month received.
