Any employee witness duty required because of legal action involving the city, resulting from employment by the city, will be compensated time. If an employee is issued a subpoena to testify in court or provide a deposition involving city business, this time will be excused and time away from work will be paid. Any other witness duty for non-city court appearance, or depositions will not be paid unless the employee uses available leave or compensatory time for pay.
