After trees have been trimmed as required in § 96.01 (B), it shall be the duty of the utility owning, operating, and maintaining the high tension or electric line along the street and adjacent to such trees to keep such trees trimmed in the manner as provided for in § 96.01 (B) at the expense of the utility. The utility is charged with the duty and obligation of keeping and maintaining such trees as provided for in § 96.01 (B), free of expense to the property owners, after such trees have been trimmed in the first instance in the manner and form as provided.
