§ 96.05 PERFORMANCE BY CITY ON OWNER'S NONCOMPLIANCE.
   If the owner of property on whom the notice provided for in § 96.03 has been served fails to trim his trees within ten days from the date of the service or the last day of publication, the Street Commissioner shall cause such work to be done by the proper officer or employee of the city. An itemized statement of the cost thereof shall be kept by such officer, and the City Clerk-Treasurer shall certify the cost of trimming such trees and shall place the same on the tax duplicate as a charge against the owner of such lot or grounds, which cost shall constitute a lien against such real estate and shall be collected by the Clerk-Treasurer at the same time and in the same manner as other assessments and taxes for the city are collected.
