(A) Authorized; fee. The Board of Public Works and Safety and the Chief of Police of the city are authorized and empowered, by the use of proper markings and signs, to designate parking places on the streets and highways within the city for the use of physicians, dentists, veterinarians, and chiropractors, provided, that a fee shall be paid to the city in the sum of $l per week, payable on the first day of January, April, July, and October.
(B) Unlawful for others to park in spaces. It shall be unlawful for any person other than physicians, dentists, veterinarians, and chiropractors to cause or permit or suffer any vehicle registered in the name of, owned, operated, or caused to be operated by such person to be parked in such designated parking spaces.
