Nothing herein shall in anyway be construed to eliminate the necessity for public hearing prior to a license fee increase, as required by 65 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/11-55-1 et seq. Pursuant to said statutes, if a license fee increase is proposed, the corporate authorities of the Village shall schedule and hold a public hearing on the subject of the proposed increase. Notice of the proposed hearing shall be mailed at least thirty (30) days before the hearing to the last known address of each person holding such a license. At the hearing, a sworn statement by the Village Administrator that such notice has been mailed shall be prima facie evidence of such notice. (Ord. 97-08, 6-11-1997)
