A. Plat Officer: The office of Plat Officer is hereby created and the chairman of the Plan Commission is hereby designated Plat Officer of the Village. The Plat Officer and the Plan Commission shall administer this Title.
B. Approval of Plats: The Plat Officer shall approve and sign all maps or plats of subdivision in accordance with the provisions of this Title; provided, that no map or plat of subdivision shall be approved by the Plat Officer without the consent of a majority of the Plan Commission in quorum (the vote and presence of the Plat Officer shall be counted as any other member of the Plan Commission). C. Objections to Decisions, Procedure: Within fifteen (15) days after a sketch or plat of subdivision has been finally acted upon, the subdivider shall file any objections which he may have in writing with the Plan Commission which shall thereupon consider and act upon same. The Plat Officer, after said objections have been duly considered and acted upon, shall inform the subdivider in writing of the action taken on said objections. If the subdivider is dissatisfied with the action taken thereon, and if the action of the Plan Commission is not to become a recommendation submitted to the Village Board he shall, within fifteen (15) days, request the Plat Officer, in writing, to present the matter to the Village Board. The Plat Officer shall then refer the matter to the Village Board at its next regular meeting and the Village Board may approve the plat or take whatever other action it considers to be in the public interest. The Village Board shall not approve any plat which has been disapproved by the Plan Commission except by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the Village Board in quorum. (Ord. 90-19, 11-28-90)
