7-2-2-1: INTERNATIONAL RESIDENTIAL BUILDING CODE (IRC):
   A.   Code Adopted: Rules and regulations for construction, alteration, repair and conversion of buildings for residential purposes, the International Residential Code, 2021 Edition, published by the International Code Council (ICC), are hereby adopted by reference and made a part of this title as the rules and regulations governing the construction of single-family residential buildings and accessory buildings and other structures in the village. It shall be unlawful for any person to construct or alter, or cause to be constructed or altered, any building or structure in the village in violation of or without complying with those rules and regulations. At least three (3) copies of said pamphlet have been filed in the office of the village clerk for use and examination by the public at least thirty (30) days prior to the effective date hereof.
   B.   Amendments To IRC Code:
   Section 301.C. Pressure Treated Wood Foundations is deleted in its entirety.

   Concrete Work:
   Section 304. H.2(a) Delete the following:
      "except that masonry veneer on frame and solid masonry walls shall be 10 inches deep by 20 inches wide."
   Substitute the following:
      "except that spread footings for foundation walls supporting frame or masonry bearing walls shall be 10 inches deep by 20 inches wide."
   Section 304. J. 2.(b) Delete the following:
      "and one-story wood frame structures without basements,".
   Section 304. J. 2.(c) Delete the entire section.
   Section 304. J. 2.(d) Delete the entire section and substitute the following:
      "All other walls 10 inches minimum and reinforced with two #4 steel reinforcing bars running continuously at both the top and the bottom of the walls. Steel reinforcing bars shall be lapped a minimum of 40 bar diameters. The bottom reinforcing bars may be placed in the footing in lieu of the bottom of the foundation walls."
