Unless otherwise specified by Council, the abutting owners shall construct concrete sidewalks, not blacktop, and maintain them in good condition in all residence and business districts. Such walks shall be built along each side of all paved streets and public ways and on all sides of publicly owned courts and parking areas.
In business districts, sidewalks shall extend from the property line to the paving. If concrete curb and gutter construction already exists, such sidewalks shall abut it. If none exists, a proper concrete curb poured with the sidewalk shall be included as part of the sidewalk.
In residence districts, sidewalks shall be four feet wide, starting one foot beyond the property line, except where otherwise ordered by the Municipal Manager.
