No person, firm or corporation shall operate or cause to be operated a taxicab, or proffer the services of any vehicle as a taxicab unless the owner of such business operation has obtained a taxicab business operation license as provided in this chapter.
Every taxicab business operation license shall expire on December 31 for the year in which issued. Licenses issued after June 30 of any year shall be issued at one-half the annual license fee herein provided. The annual license fee for each business operation shall be ten dollars ($10.00).
