351.18 PARKING OF RECREATIONAL VEHICLES AND BOATS RESTRICTED.
   (a)   As used in this section, “recreational vehicle” means a vehicular portable structure designed and constructed to be primarily used as a temporary dwelling for travel, or for recreational or vacation uses including, but not limited to the following:
      (1)   “Travel trailer” means a nonself-propelled recreational vehicle, including tent type fold out camping trailer.
      (2)   “Motor home” means a self-propelled recreational vehicle constructed with permanently installed facilities for cold storage, cooking and consuming of food, and for sleeping.
   (b)   No person shall stop, park or leave standing on any street in a residential area any recreational vehicle or boat, except when such parking is necessary to load or unload property, to comply with the provisions of this Traffic Code or to obey the directions of a police officer or a traffic control device. Operators of recreational vehicles or boats so parked shall limit such parking to a reasonable period of time to perform loading or unloading, which time shall not exceed twenty-four hours, or for other such designated purpose. In no event shall a self-propelled recreational vehicle or boat be parked on any residential street when it is not attached to a motor vehicle in such a fashion that it can be legally operated or pulled on a public street. An area shall be considered a residential area if it is zoned Residence District or if a majority of the buildings in the area are single or multiple-family residences.

   (c)   Except as otherwise provided in this subsection, whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. If, within one year of the offense, the offender previously has been convicted of or pleaded guilty to one predicate motor vehicle or traffic offense, whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree. If, within one year of the offense, the offender previously has been convicted of two or more predicate motor vehicle or traffic offenses, whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
