The purpose of this section is to aid in the prevention of sanitary sewer blockage and obstructions from contribution and accumulation of fats, oils and grease into the sanitary sewer system usually from, but not limited to, industrial and commercial establishments, particularly food preparation and serving facilities. This section is applicable to all users that discharge significant quantities of fats, oils, or greases, as defined by the Wastewater Utility Manager, to any part of the sanitary sewer system.
