(A) All fire code violations will be documented on a notice of violation and transmitted to violators following the discovery of such fire code violations by the Fire Department. Violators shall have not more than 30 days from the date of a notice of violation to remedy the violations described therein; provided however, in the interest of public health, safety, and welfare, the Fire Department may, in its sole discretion, determine that based upon the severity of a fire code violation, such lesser time for compliance is required. Upon complying with the Fire Department’s notice of violation, a violator shall certify compliance through the Fire Department’s electronic platform. If a violator fails to demonstrate compliance within the time-period set forth within a notice of violation, the Fire Department shall conduct a reinspection of the violator’s premises to verify compliance with the fire code.
(B) The fees for inspections and reinspections of any ongoing fire code violation are as follows:
First reinspection | $0 |
Second reinspection | $75 |
Third reinspection | $150 |
Fourth and any reinspection, thereafter | $300 |
