§ 35.32 FEES FOR EMERGENCY SERVICES.
   (A)   Beginning January 1, 2019, the Fire Department shall charge $1,500 per transported patient for Basic Life Support Services, $1,700 per transported patient for Level 1 Advanced Life Support Services, $2,000 per transported patient for Level 2 Advanced Life Support Services, and $425 for Non-Transport Advanced Life Support Services, such as Advanced Life Support Signed Refusal of Transport where medications have been used or for a patient treated in cardiac arrest but not transported. In addition to the above, a separate mileage charge of $25 per loaded mile shall be charged for the service provided by the Fire Department. These fees include the cost of supplies or medications used or furnished on behalf of the patient. There shall be a 60% discount given to any patient who receives no benefit from Medicaid, Medicare, or private insurance companies. In addition to the above charges, an additional charge of $200 shall be charged for such services being rendered to any person who is not a resident of the Fire Territory or a resident of a jurisdiction within which the Fire Territory has entered into a mutual aid agreement.
   (B)   The city shall also charge a $1,000 fee for motor vehicle extrication resulting from a motor vehicle collision.
   (C)   The Fire Department shall charge any not-for-profit unit requesting Intercept ALS Services, the sum of $250, which shall be payable by the requesting unit no later than 30 days after issuance of an invoice with any remaining unpaid balance thereafter to accrue interest at the rate of 1% per month until paid in full. For any for-profit unit requesting manpower for EMS Services, the charge shall be $75 per man hour, which charge shall be paid no later than 30 days after the issuance of an invoice and any remaining unpaid balance thereafter shall accrue interest at the rate of 1% per month until paid in full. These rates may be increased, from time to time, without amendment of this section so as to adjust as the allowances set by Medicare increase.
