§ 35.09 SUSPENSION OR DISMISSAL.
   (A)   Any member of the Fire Department may be reprimanded or suspended without pay by the Fire Chief without a hearing for a maximum of five working days. Eight hours of paid time constitutes one working day.
   (B)   The Fire Chief may recommend to the Board a suspension in excess of five days or demotion or dismissal. On written request of such member to the Board, he or she shall be given a hearing on the charges brought by the Fire Chief as prescribed by law.
