For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
DEPUTY FIRE CHIEF. The Deputy Fire Chief appointed by the Fire Chief in accordance with this subchapter.
EMS APPARATUS. An ambulance or other vehicle utilized for the provision of EMS services belonging to the City Division of Emergency Medical Services.
EMS EQUIPMENT. All equipment of the Emergency Medical Services division of the Fire Department as required to provide life saving FIRE APPARATUS; means fire engine, fire rescue unit, heavy rescue unit, hazardous material unit, or command/control vehicle.
FIRE CHIEF. The chief officer of the City Fire Department.
FIRE DEPARTMENT. The Greenfield Fire Territory that renders fire prevention and protection services to the Greenfield Fire Territory, pursuant to I.C. 36-8-17-2.
FIRE EQUIPMENT. All equipment utilized by members of the Fire Department as may be required, from time to time, to maintain its efficiency and enable it to effectively protect life and property from fire.
FIRE PREVENTION CHIEF. The Fire Prevention Chief of any Fire Bureau created within the Greenfield Fire Territory.
FIREWATCH. A person or persons who are assigned to monitor an area for watching fires or the outbreak of fires in accordance with this Chapter and Chapter 91.
GREENFIELD FIRE TERRITORY. The Fire Territory established by the city and Center Township.
MEMBERS. Members of the Fire Department whether volunteer, part-time, or full-time.
NOTICE OF VIOLATION. A written notice issued by the City Fire Department usually in the form of an inspection report listing violation(s).
