§ 71.02  TOWING AND IMPOUNDMENT.
   The township shall be authorized to impound any vehicle in violation of this chapter and to remove any such vehicle to a designated impound area. The registered owner of any vehicle impounded by the township shall be promptly notified in writing of the fact of the removal and of the place to which said vehicle has been removed. Said owner may obtain possession of the vehicle upon payment in full of any and all towing and storage charges. Neither the township nor any of its employees, agents or independent contractors involved in the removal and/or impounding and storage of a vehicle in violation of this chapter shall be responsible for and shall be held harmless from any damages occurring as a result of the towing, impounding and storage of any vehicle parked in violation of this chapter by the owner of said vehicle. Any person who violates a parking restriction in the township may have his or her offending vehicle removed at the direction of the Code Enforcement Officer; shall pay all costs associated with the removal and storage of the offending vehicle, and shall hold the third party towers harmless from any claims for damage to the offending vehicle resulting from said removal.
