(A) The purpose of this chapter is to protect the public health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of the township while, at the same time, implementing cost-saving efficiency. In protecting the health, safety and welfare of the citizens, one of the objectives of this chapter is to maintain the rural and agricultural atmosphere of the township. The provisions of this chapter shall be administered to ensure orderly growth and development and shall be used to supplement and facilitate implementation of provisions of other official documents within the township, such as the Comprehensive Plan; Chapter 153, Zoning, with official map; the Building Code; and §§ 152.145 through 152.159 of this chapter.
(B) All subdivision and land development plats of land situated within the township must be submitted for approval to the Township Board of Supervisors.
