Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine as set forth in § 10.99. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense. In addition, the Plan Commission, the Board of Zoning Appeals, the Building Inspector, or any designated enforcement official, or any person or person jointly or severally aggrieved, may institute a suit for injunction in the County Circuit Court to restrain an individual or a governmental unit from violating provisions of this chapter. The Plan Commission or the Board of Zoning Appeals may also institute a suit for mandatory injunction directing a person or governmental unit to remove a structure erected in violation of the provisions of this chapter. Any building erected, raised, or converted, or land or premise used in violation of any such provisions or the requirements thereof, is hereby declared to be a common nuisance and as such may be abated in the manner as nuisances are now or hereafter be abated under existing law.
