(A) A Beautification Commission is hereby established in and for the city.
(B) The members of the Beautification Commission shall be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of Council.
(C) There shall be six resident members of the Commission. The resident members shall be appointed to three-year terms, to be staggered the first year, with two appointed for full three-year terms, two appointed for two-year terms, and two appointed for one-year terms. A vacancy shall be filled for the remaining unexpired term in the same manner as the original appointment. The volunteer Director of Keep Green Beautiful shall serve as a member. One member of Council having responsibility for matters concerning city beautification shall serve as an ex-officio member.
