§ 41.104   NOTICE OF EXPOSED UTILITY LINES, LEAKS, OR FAILURES
   Any person, whether or not excavating or ditching pursuant to a permit issued by the city, who exposes utility lines, including, but not limited to gas pipelines, and water and sewer lines, and/or who creates or otherwise discovers any leak or failure of any utility service or line, or who otherwise damages any city property, shall immediately, and without delay, do such things as are necessary to actually notify the Utility Superintendent of the exposure, leak, and/or damage. In any event, the notification shall be given with such alacrity so as to minimize damage to property and the exposure of the public to hazard. Separately, the permittee shall take such actions as are necessary or convenient to preserve property and protect the public from any endangerment.
