(A) It shall be unlawful and a violation of this section for any truck or similar motor vehicle of a gross weight in excess of twelve thousand (12,000) pounds (six (6) tons) to use any street in the city, except those which are federal or state highways.
(B) This section shall not apply to trucks or similar motor vehicles loading or unloading goods, wares, furniture, and merchandise at residences or businesses in the city, so long as that truck or motor vehicle uses the truck route to its closest point to the residence business.
