Upon the purchase of each license from the City Clerk, the purchaser shall receive a license sticker which shall be placed in the lower right-hand corner of the windshield of each car or truck, in accordance with the directions on the back of each license sticker decal, and upon a conspicuous place, which is easily accessible, on every motorcycle, and shall not be affixed in any other manner aforesaid. Violation of this section shall constitute an offense, punishable as provided in § 40.999.
