(A) The Department shall be divided into classes and positions as stated in the City’s Classification Plan.
(B) The powers and duties of the position of city police officer shall be as stated in the adopted position descriptions for the positions as contained in the classification plan for city employees, or as otherwise provided by the City Council.
(C) Individuals holding the position of city police officer shall take the statutory and constitutional oath upon assuming the office.
(D) Individuals holding the position of city police officer shall be compensated in accordance with the city’s compensation plan.
