§ 36.01 SAFETY DIRECTOR ESTABLISHED.
   The city has established the office of Safety Director and the authority and duties of the Safety Director have been established in detail by § 31.41. The Safety Director is the Mayor’s representative in regard to the exercise of the Mayor’s executive authority over the administration of the Police Department. Therefore, the Mayor may designate the Safety Director to perform the oversight functions and all members of the Police Department must take his direction as if directly from the Mayor.
