7-2-4: TRIMMING TREES:
   (A)   All trees planted, cultivated or maintained in the Village along any street or avenue, after having reached a suitable growth, shall have the branches thereof cut and properly trimmed at a reasonable height from the ground, and when of a suitable growth, trimmed at least ten feet (10') above ground, so as not to interfere or encumber the passage of persons along the sidewalks and cars along the streets or avenues, and so as not to obscure the reflections of public street lights. (R.O. 1974, Sec. 16.1.5)
   (B)   If any tree shall be permitted by the owner or occupant of the property to grow in such a way as to interfere with travel on any street, avenue or sidewalk or so as to obstruct the light from any public street lamp, it shall be the duty of the Village to notify such person, owner or occupant, in writing, to trim such tree or trees within a time and in such a manner to be specified in such notice. If such person so notified shall neglect or refuse to comply with such notice, he shall be liable for any charges that the Village may incur in having this work done for him, in behalf of the public safety and welfare, in addition to any fine imposed by the terms of any Section of this Chapter. (R.O. 1974, Sec. 16.1.6)
