The President of the Board of Trustees shall perform the duties and exercise the powers conferred upon the mayor of a city.
The President shall devote such time to the duties of his office as the faithful discharge thereof may require, and shall receive as compensation therefor an annual salary as shall be determined from time to time by the Board of Trustees.
The President of the Board of Trustees may exercise the same veto powers, and with like effect, as the mayor of a city; and the Board of Trustees may pass ordinances over such veto in like manner as a city council.
