Upon written application by any person or business receiving electrical service from the city, a mercury vapor security light will be installed on an existing city distribution pole on which conductors with secondary voltage are present. The city will install, own and maintain the lights. They will be connected so that the energy consumed by them does not go through the consumer’s meter. The sizes of lights and the monthly charge are designated by city policy.
