Salaries of the Mayor and Council are hereby fixed as follows, which amounts are deemed reasonable.
(A) The annual salary for the Mayor shall be set by resolution from time to time.
(B) The annual salary of each Councilperson shall be set by resolution from time to time.
(C) The salaries provided for herein shall be effective January 1, 1997, and thereafter as noted.
(D) Benefits:
(1) The Mayor and Council members shall be reimbursed for necessary disbursements in the performance of their duties; and
(2) The Mayor and Council members shall be reimbursed the sum of $40 for a half day and $80 for a full day, plus travel expenses, when they are absent from their normal employment due to the performance of their duties to attend out of own meetings, conferences, training seminars or related activities and events on behalf of the city.
