A. Except as provided in this chapter no person shall erect, maintain, alter, repair or move any "billboard" as defined in this chapter, anywhere within the city of Grangeville without a permit. No billboards, unless they are existing at the time of the passage of this chapter, shall be allowed in the city of Grangeville other than on the "U.S. Highway 95 corridor" as that is defined hereinafter in either the city of Grangeville or the area of city impact if Idaho County concurs in this regulation.
B. This chapter shall not apply to the following:
1. Signs, including marquees, of less than one hundred (100) square feet that are affixed to permanent buildings within the city or within the area of city impact.
2. Freestanding signs of less than sixty four (64) square feet that are located upon any property advertising a business or anything else that is located upon that particular property. (Ord. 722, 2-7-2000)
