§ 7-5-5 RESTRICTED PARKING DISTRICTS ON LEGAL HOLIDAYS.
   The parking restrictions of §§ 7-5-3 and 7-5-4 shall not be applicable during the following days, which are declared to be legal holidays within the meaning of this chapter: the first day of January, commonly called New Year’s Day; the first Monday in February to celebrate Lincoln’s Birthday; the third Monday in February to celebrate Washington’s Birthdays; the last Monday in May as Memorial Day; the fourth day of July; the first Monday in September, known as Labor Day; the second Monday in October as Christopher Columbus Day; the fourth Monday in October as Veteran’s Day; December 25, commonly called Christmas Day; and any day appointed or recommended by the President of the United States as a day of fast or thanksgiving, and any other days as may be officially proclaimed by the President to be legal holidays in the village. When any such holidays fall on Sunday, the Monday next following shall be held and considered such holiday. The days upon which the general elections for members of the House of Representatives are held shall not be considered a legal holiday within the village.
